Congressional Democrats from Florida sued their own party Thursday, in a growing fight over the state's presidential primary. The Democratic National Committee stripped Florida of all its delegates in the nominating process - and barred candidates from campaigning in the state because Florida moved up its primary date to January 29th.

Senator Bill Nelson said this is a lawsuit "About the right of every American to have access to a ballot box and the right of every American to have their ballot counted."

Representative Alcee Hastings added, "For the DNC to say to the 4th largest contingency of Democrats in the nation that they're votes will not matter in next year's primary is not only shocking and ironic, but we believe illegal."
