Can it finally be time for the gloves to come off? Everyone is attacking the frontrunner, Senator Clinton. Can she continue to have the best of all worlds, lead D's while running a campaign that is suited for the general election. It worked for Charlie Crist. Can it work for her?

And, will we see an energized and coherent Fred Thompson? And, does it matter? Did voters really care that Reagan didn't know all the elements of every issue? They trusted his instincts. Can Thompson covey as clearly his instincts?

Now D spouses are avoiding Florida. Will any of that matter? Democratic voters are going to be energized in the general election regardless. Since the Republicans will be beating up on each other, the lack of Democratic campaigns may not matter in the long run. Anybody out there who will miss more political ads?
