Has anyone noticed any obvious parallels to the findings of the Israeli government's analysis of their recent incursion into Lebanon? The findings were:

decided hastily to go to war,
neglected to ask for a detailed military plan,
refusing to consult outside the Army, and
setting overambitious and unobtainable goals.
