With the race for the White House already on... it's never too early to start campaigning for seats in Tallahassee. Palm Beach Gardens Democrat Frederick "Rick" Ford, who lost a close race to Republican incumbent Carl Domino in November, filed papers this week as a candidate for State Representative in the 83rd House District seat in the 2008 election. Why so early? Ford says it's all about money and the need to start fundraising. Domino outspent Ford by a 7 to 1 margin in 2006. Ford lost by fewer than a thousand votes out of the 56-thousand votes cast. What do you think about tossing your hat into a race this far out on the state level?
