Where's Mark? According to the Washington Post, former Congressman Mark Foley was spotted Tuesday at his Capitol Hill town house. Foley apparently returned so he could clean out of the house and move out. He was seen "fussing with a garbage bag in the front yard and ducking back into the house when he saw a neighbor walking her dog."

What's even more interesting I think is it seems that whenever Foley, or any other Congressman leaves office, they've got a nice political treasure chest saved up... and they get to spend the money in it how they see fit. We tracked down the Schedule B form of the "Friends of Mark Foley" committee recently. In it was more than 1.6 million dollars! The treasurer is Donna Winterson, Foley's sister. She is still collecting a salary from her brother, who's no longer is in office, at a rate of 24-hundred bucks a month. We also noticed several thousand dollars in donor contribution refunds and 2 payments of $25.90... to America Online.
