The Votes Are In!

It's early Wednesday morning and after a sleepless night, the results are in. Democrats are making big gains here in South Florida and around the country. A few observations/predictions:

**Ron Klein has served the state admirably in Tallahassee. Now he has big shoes to fill in Washington. You don't just jump in and replace a quarter century of service just like that.

**With that said... could the Treasure Coast lose some clout in DC with the loss of Mark Foley? Despite his downfall, Foley *did* bring home the dollars to the home district. Can Tim Mahoney make an impact as a freshman lawmaker?

**Joe Negron, buoyed by his strong 5 week campaign, will battle Mahoney for the District 16 race in 2008.

It has been a week, and I am already seeing the terrible effects of a Democrat run Congress. I am not certain how we are all going to make it thru the next two years. My income has gone down, my taxes are unaffordable, my truck is a gas guzzler, and my health care isn't, and all of this began the very moment that Democrats took control.
